Katrina Jensen, M.A., CCC-SLP – Dallas/Fort Worth, TX - Speech Language Pathologist

Meet Katrina

The Head & Neck Cancer Center of Texas is pleased to have Katrina Jensen to help our patients with rehabilitation of speech, swallowing and other functional issues after cancer treatments. Following completion of her undergraduate and graduate education, Katrina spent several years training with the surgeons at the University of Pittsburgh to specialize in the field of medical speech pathology and rehabilitation in the head and neck cancer population. Katrina now has over 20 years experience in head & neck rehabilitation where she has focused on improving the rehabilitative standards for this population through teaching, research and fellowship training. She authored the book, The Modern Laryngectomy, to help patients and their families understand the treatment and recovery process and has contributed to several other teaching publications. Katrina actively lectures and conducts research on topics specific to this population, currently in collaboration with the Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas. In her time in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Katrina developed and currently maintains an active rehabilitation program including the largest laryngectomy support group in North Texas. She has also founded a nonprofit organization to help provide education and financial assistance to this population
